The Holiday Cookie Stroll is back at EPCOT for the International Festival of the Holidays and
this year I had the pleasure of partaking in this delicious journey for the first time.
For this Festival tradition, you can use your Festival Passport as a guide to hunt down the items participating in the stroll found throughout the park at select Holiday Kitchens and EPCOT eateries. To complete the Holiday Cookie Stroll, purchase any five (5) cookies from any of the official cookie stroll locations and receive a matching stamp on your Festival Passport. After that, take your completed passport to the Holiday Sweet & Treats Holiday Kitchen to redeem a sweet prize! The Holiday Cookie Stroll runs from November 24th through December 30th, 2023.
Here are the cookies and their locations participating in the 2023 Holiday Cookie Stroll:
Gingerbread Cookie at American Holiday Table
Linzer Cookie at Bavaria Holiday Kitchen
Peppermint Pinwheel Cookie at Holiday Hearth Desserts
Black and White Cookie at L'Chaim! Holiday Kitchen
Spiced Chocolate Cookie at Nochebuena Cocina
Snickerdoodle Cookie made with SNICKERS bar pieces at Yukon Holiday Kitchen
Holiday Sugar Cookie at Connections Cafe
Jingle Sugar Cookie made with M&M's chocolate candies at Sunshine Seasons
A couple of important things to note about the Holiday Cookie Stroll, first, you do not need to buy five different cookies to be eligible for the completer prize. For example, if you have a family of four and everyone wants their own Gingerbread Cookie, then the Cast Member can stamp your passport four times. Likewise, you do not need to complete the Holiday Cookie Stroll and redeem the completer prize all in one day. For example, while we visited for the long weekend, we ventured into EPCOT a couple of times throughout our trip to pace ourselves with the sugary deliciousness. Just make sure to keep track of your stamped Festival Passport if you plan on taking a pause!
Now let's venture around EPCOT and the World Showcase to grab some cookies!
Right before the Canadian Pavilion, you will find the Yukon Holiday Kitchen as well as the Snickers-doodle Cookie. My top pick for the Holiday Cookie Stroll, the Snickers-doodle Cookie is a massive Snickerdoodle cookie topped with Snickers Bars pieces and drizzled with chocolate. In addition to the size, the crunch of the candy bar pieces elevated the moist Snickerdoodle base. The complexity of the flavor made this cookie stand out from the rest of the options.
The Spiced Chocolate Cookie was an underdog, and I highly suggest putting this one on your list. Located at the Nochebuena Cocina by Test Track, this chocolate cookie has a spiced flavor (not spicy!) adding a bit of zip to the taste. The spiced flavor paired well with the fudginess of the cookie as well as the sweetness from the cream cheese frosting.
Inside the Land Pavilion, you can grab the Jingle Sugar Cookie at the Sunshine Seasons. This was a sugar cookie with red and green M&M's sprinkled throughout. The cookie had a faint lemon taste to it and was on the dry side.
Over at Connections Cafe, you can find the Holiday Sugar Cookie which is a plain sugar cookie with red, white, and green holiday sprinkles mixed throughout. This cookie is available early in the morning however I will caution that the line to purchase was long due to the fact it is the Starbucks line for the park. For a minimal wait time, I would venture over later in the afternoon after everyone's had their coffee fix. The cookie had a perfectly soft texture and even with the added sprinkles, was not overly sweet.
By the Morocco Pavilion at the World Showcase, you can find the Black and White Cookie at L'Chaim! Holiday Kitchen. A plant-based option, the Black and White Cookie is a soft and cakey cookie iced with one half vanilla and the other chocolate. Out of the five cookies we tried, this one was the least favorite. The gumminess of the frosting and the flavorless cookie base left us yearning for more. On top of that, the cookie was formed in an odd oval shape and was extremely messy to hold.
After completing the Holiday Cookie Stroll, we headed to the Holiday Sweets and Treats Holiday Kitchen to redeem our prize. This year the completer prize was a Star Cookie, a frosted sugar cookie in the shape of the Star from the new Disney film Wish, as well as a Peppermint Chocolate Milkshake in a souvenir cup.
Overall, this is a fun way to take part in one of the many offerings during the EPCOT Internation Festival of the Holidays. I am big a fan of scavenger hunts and trails, so the combination of the spirit of adventure with sweets made this a must-do for the holidays. The cookies are scrumptious, big enough to share, and at an affordable $3 price tag. All cookies participating in the Holiday Cookie Stroll are held at the $3 price so the entire stroll will cost $15 (not including tax) which includes the completer prize. For Disney standards, it is quite a good deal for what you get plus you are coming home with a small souvenir cup. I would highly suggest that you either tackle the Holiday Cookie Stroll with a buddy or plan on completing it over multiple days.
